RAMEEZ SEWANI

Rameez Sewani completed his law degree at the University of Toronto and was called to the bar in 2016. He began his career as a Crown prosecutor, later switching sides to do what he really wanted: be a defence lawyer. Before joining Leora Shemesh, he worked with another prominent defence firm in Toronto. Rameez has experience with both trials and appeals, and has appeared on criminal cases at all levels of court in Ontario and British Columbia. He is committed to vigorously defending clients against all types of allegations, no matter the complexity or seriousness. Rameez has written legal papers for the Canadian Bar Association's Criminal Justice Conference in Vancouver and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association.
